Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Funding
The school receives pupil premium funding to help pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential both academically and socially. Each year, the school identifies the best way in which to spend the pupil premium funding in order to fulfil this aim.
This money is allocated to schools with pupils on role who are known to be eligible for “free school meals (FSM)”. Since April 2012, this has included children eligible for FSM at any time in the last 6 years.
The amount allocated per FSM pupil in 2023/24 is £1340 per pupil. This has risen each year since the introduction of Pupil Premium funding in 2012.
IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT HAVE A FREE SCHOOL MEAL BUT MAY BE ELIGIBLE BECAUSE OF YOUR FAMILY’S INCOME LEVEL, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY IN ORDER TO GENERATE THE ADDITIONAL PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING.
