Here at Sandy Lane Primary School, we understand the challenges that work, home life, and school commitments can bring. To support our parents and carers, we offer our own out-of-school child care service to meet your needs. Bright Sparks @ Sandy Lane is a Before & After School Club located on-site, providing a fun, safe, and warm environment for children to play and learn.
About Us
Bright Sparks was first established in September 1999 at a local church. In September 2019, Sandy Lane Primary School took over the club and integrated it with the school’s existing out-of-school provision, expanding the service and hours available. Since then, the club has been known as Bright Sparks @ Sandy Lane. We offer care for all children attending Sandy Lane Primary School and Nursery.
Our Services
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club offers a wide range of delicious breakfast options such as toast, waffles, croissants, pancakes (sometimes homemade!), cereals, and refreshments. Children also have access to various play activities to keep them entertained before school begins.
Opening times
- 7:30am to 8:45am
- 8:00am to 8:45am
After School Club
Our After School Club starts as soon as the school day ends. We provide children with snacks or a light meal, along with refreshments to keep them energized. Children can participate in various activities, or simply relax, read, or watch a movie—it’s their choice.
Session times
- 3:15pm to 4:00pm
- 3:15pm to 4:30pm
- 3:15pm to 5:45pm

We use an online booking system for all registrations and bookings. Registration is free, and you only pay for the sessions you book.
