Sandy Lanes Reading Extravaganza!

What a wonderful week we all had, bringing reading to life and sharing our favourite stories and books.  The children enjoyed visiting the travelling book fair and raised over £500 for the school to spend on new books for the classrooms.  A huge thank you to all the families that attended.  Miss long’s story club was extremely popular and got off to a get start.  Lots of children from across the school entered the school story writing competition, Mrs Newsome found it very difficult to choose the 5 luck winners.  Another thank you goes to all the children and families that took up the reading book challenge and managed to read for 20 minutes every night to an adult for a whole week.
